With more than 14 years in strategic communications and 8 years focused on nonprofits and educational institutions, Gillan started Wired Mind Media on a single conviction: that accessibility isn’t about compliance, it’s about strategy.
After witnessing organizations struggle with inaccessible websites and exclusionary content, Gillan recognized that accessibility isn’t just about compliance; it’s about strategy. It’s about ensuring that every community member, regardless of ability, has equal access to your message.
Gillan is autistic and has ADHD; her lived experience shapes how Wired Mind Media approaches communication. Identity-first language reflects how many in the neurodivergent community choose to identify, though Gillan understands that preferences vary across individuals and communities. Inclusive communication doesn’t apply a one-size-fits-all style guide; it asks, listens, and adapts. Gillan brings that same orientation to every client relationship, there are no assumptions or templates. There is just a genuine effort to understand the communities each organization serves and build communication that actually reaches them.
